We are so proud of our 2011 CMC Team who participated in the 20th Annual Run/Walk for the Cure on Sunday October 2, 2011. We braved cold, windy and wet weather to join in and had teams participating in both Toronto and Montreal.
Congratulations to our team not only for their efforts on the big day, but also in raising a grand total of $6,303 to support Breast Cancer Research. A big shout out and thanks to all those who supported us in exceeding our fundraising goal. We can’t wait until next year!
The Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event that started in 1992 by Andrea Thomas Hill. In its first year, this event drew in 1,500 participants and raised $85,000 for breast cancer research. Since then, more than 1,000,000 participants have participated in the Run for the Cure raising millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of a future free of breast cancer. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leader in funding research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer. This volunteer-based organization works collaboratively to fund and support relevant and innovative research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.
" I liked how the theory tied in well with practical experience. I was able to take away many tools to implement at work. "
" I like how open the course was - open discussion and not following hundreds of pages in a binder. "
" I liked the fact that Harry covered not just the hard skills, but also the soft skills. He showed a real interest and went out of his way to help us learn. "

" Jim was a great facilitator and kept the energy level high. The course was fast-moving and applicable. "
" The training was excellent; far more than I expected in terms of amount of information covered and the depth in which we were able to get into some of the topics. "

" Harry Mingail is a very good instructor. He made the course an enjoyable experience by keeping people involved with the discussion. Though the course material could be very dry without a good instructor, Harry made it an enjoyable learning experience. "
