We are so proud of our 2011 CMC Team who participated in the 20th Annual Run/Walk for the Cure on Sunday October 2, 2011.  We braved cold, windy and wet weather to join in and had teams participating in both Toronto and Montreal.

Congratulations to our team not only for their efforts on the big day, but also in raising a grand total of $6,303 to support Breast Cancer Research.  A big shout out and thanks to all those who supported us in exceeding our fundraising goal.  We can’t wait until next year!

About The Run for the Cure

The Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event that started in 1992 by Andrea Thomas Hill.  In its first year, this event drew in 1,500 participants and raised $85,000 for breast cancer research.  Since then, more than 1,000,000 participants have participated in the Run for the Cure raising millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of a future free of breast cancer.  The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leader in funding research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.  This volunteer-based organization works collaboratively to fund and support relevant and innovative research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

  • "  I liked the templates & worksheet examples. I can apply them to my ongoing and future projects at work.  "

  • "  The course was interactive, informative and helpful in all aspects.  "

  • "  I liked the small group setting, friendly atmosphere, and that all participants came from a different field of work and shared their experiences with the group.  "

  • "  The exercises were terrific. I am going to see if our teams are forming, storming, norming or performing. I am also going to look at the DiSC exercise we did to see if there are things I can do to perform more effectively with others.  "

  • "  Most importantly, the course gave an overview of the role project management has within an organization. It provided ideas of how to breakdown a project into bite-sized steps.  "

  • "  I thought the course was very interesting and the flow was very comfortable.  "

  • "  I enjoyed the interaction. It was a very good opportunity to exchange on the different subject that we touched.  "

  • "  I liked everything about the course but enjoyed the case evaluations the most. With the cases, we were putting all the analytical tools together through practical use rather than just theoretically.  "

  • "  I liked the opportunity to interact with other project managers.  "
