We are so proud of our 2011 CMC Team who participated in the 20th Annual Run/Walk for the Cure on Sunday October 2, 2011.  We braved cold, windy and wet weather to join in and had teams participating in both Toronto and Montreal.

Congratulations to our team not only for their efforts on the big day, but also in raising a grand total of $6,303 to support Breast Cancer Research.  A big shout out and thanks to all those who supported us in exceeding our fundraising goal.  We can’t wait until next year!

About The Run for the Cure

The Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event that started in 1992 by Andrea Thomas Hill.  In its first year, this event drew in 1,500 participants and raised $85,000 for breast cancer research.  Since then, more than 1,000,000 participants have participated in the Run for the Cure raising millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of a future free of breast cancer.  The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leader in funding research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.  This volunteer-based organization works collaboratively to fund and support relevant and innovative research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

  • "  I liked the opportunity to interact with other project managers.  "

  • "  I now understand how Finance comes up with the numbers for Balance Sheet, Cash flow Sheet and Income Statement. I can now see and understand how my company is doing. I also have more of an understanding in how to budget and how our company comes to terms with cutbacks at the office.  "

  • "  Overall, an excellent seminar. I have recommended it to other dept coworkers already.  "

  • "  The exercises were terrific. I am going to see if our teams are forming, storming, norming or performing. I am also going to look at the DiSC exercise we did to see if there are things I can do to perform more effectively with others.  "

  • "  Rob was a very experienced instructor for detailed project management with hands-on knowledge for the PMP exam.  "

  • "  I have learned how to be effective at leading my first meeting with my staff: communication, motivation and decision-making.  "

  • "  I liked the small group setting, friendly atmosphere, and that all participants came from a different field of work and shared their experiences with the group.  "

  • "  The course really made one think, especially concerning what type of person you are and also the type of person your supervisor is.  "

  • "  There was lots of interaction. The small group allowed more time for in depth discussions.  "

  • "  The subject matter selected to be taught in this course fits exactly to my current job roles. The teacher did an excellent job relating that info to specific job responsibilities and selected example companies.  "
