  • Unspoken contracts, nonverbal messages and decoding messages
  • Dealing with passive/aggressive behaviors
  • Managing what you say and how you say it

LESSON 2
Communication Style Differences

  • Understanding how style impacts your image
  • Reading others so you can communicate more effectively
  • Learning to flex your style to meet the situation

LESSON 3
Effective and Powerful Communication Skills

  • Learning the Know-Feel-Do Model of Communication
  • Adjusting your communication style for generational and cultural differences
  • Identifying the 3Vs: visual, verbal and vocal components of communication
  • Identifying red-flag words and cultural faux pas that can hurt conversations

LESSON 4
Better Communication Through Effective Listening Skills

  • Understanding the barriers and obstacles to effective listening
  • Using credibility to influence your audience and gain respect
  • Trust and other characteristics of credible people
  • Identifying and working on your own workplace communications
