As projects become more complex, project success becomes more elusive.

In this highly interactive and discussion-based workshop, participants will explore actual high-profile examples of complex projects. Learn how understanding of complex theory, together with PM and agile best practices, can be applied to complex projects to improve project outcomes. 

How You Will Benefit

  • Apply basic concepts of complexity theory in order to create project metrics and enhance project outcomes
  • Identify how project risk factors influence project complexity and our decisions on how they are handled
  • Identify key drivers of project complexity
  • Apply key project management and agile techniques — including your ‘soft’ skills — to help harness complexity and improve project outcomes
  • Realistic project scenarios and case studies are used to apply learned techniques that are effective in managing complex projects
  • Collaborative learning techniques including hands on exercises and discussion to relate learned techniques to participants’ real work environment and projects


Who Should Attend

Project Managers, project team members and functional managers. It is recommended, but not required, participants complete our 3-day Project Management Essentials: Part 1 – The Fundamentals, or an equivalent foundational project management course prior to taking this course.
