Sheila was very entertaining but also relayed the information very well through personal experiences and videos. I had no real expectations of this course but found it very educational. A very interactive course that puts knowledge to practice.

Difficult course to delivery, especially to a small group. Also, we had some attendees who were there "under duress". Instructor handled the situation well. Might recommend other communications related courses with similar content. This one has a slightly negative title and description.

Small group, which was great. People were allowed to speak on real situations (which is great) and the facilitator Angie, did a great job keeping us on track. There was 1 participant that seemed to comment on everything that was said - But Angie did wonderfully to listen to her, respond to her and get the course moving along. She did a great job and it was a great course. Angie did a great job, covered all the material and kept us on track so we could complete all the materials we were suppose to. She always asked if anyone had questions and addressed any questions that were asked of her. The course was thoughtful and gave me much needed insight of the corp. culture and how that no matter how much I may do, if I can't play well with the others in the sandbox, then it does not matter how much I do. I have to be more aware of how others see me and how they may feel working with me. And the course was as good as it was also because of the teacher - Angie!!!!

Sheila delivered the material very effectively and kept the group engaged with real life examples. Her energy and enthusiasm for the course was very evident and rubbed off on all members. I would like to spend more time on our action plan that we developed for our individual scenarios at work. This seemed to be a little rushed as it was one of the last things we did. Overall a great course and amazing experience as it taught me a lot of things about myself and how I interact with others.

I was informed of the location one working day ahead of the course, which is unacceptable to me. Had I known the location earlier, I would have arranged accommodations in a convenient part of town to save hours in traffic during heavy construction. I expected the CMC to display a minimum of organization and timeliness in its planning.

Loved the small class, teacher was very helpfull and knowledgeable, and the many conversations in french I listened to were awesome and the french Cliché whitch I some of what understand were nice so all is good.

The content met the mark for sure...module 2 - Commitments page needs to be updated as it has the content from module 1 in it. The only other comment I have is the assessment DISC should be done as pre-work and the facilitator comes with the completed reports.
Lucie made the content come alive. She used real world examples and engaged the audience. She kept the days packed with ah-ha moments and brought us together in a safe atmosphere to share and develop.

I learned interesting information during this course. Yet I feel I would have benefited more from another course such as leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, introduction to management, or a course mainly focused on emotional intelligence (though we did cover some of that in this course), had my manager suggested one of those. This course appears to target employees having disciplinary issues in their work environment, which is not my case. But I did enjoy learning about the different communication techniques from this course and the trainer was fantastic.
Wonderful, generous, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable.

In order to meet the requirements of the course, we had to have working lunches to read material and also had to complete the DISC profile in the evening. This caused some distress for some as they had never completed a DISC profile before and they did not understand the instructions.Colin did a very good job of making a very sensitive topic enjoyable and understanding. He brought in several real life examples to illustrate the theory.

The DISC profile handout was to complicated and hard to follow. The course title was missleaading as Emotional Inteligence is now where in the course title yet that where we spent the majority of time. A lot of in class reading to do, can we not get that prior to and if not, cut it back.
