It is commonly said that up to 90% of a project manager's time is spent communicating. In this 3-day course, you will upgrade your communication skills to successfully resolve thorny issues that often derail projects. Discover new tools and resources to monitor and control stakeholder engagement. Plus, manage stakeholder expectations and deal with difficult personalities and conflicts of interest. 
 
You will be able to describe project benefits without sounding technical, so stakeholders buy in. Give relevant status updates to outside vendors and clients to meet their expectations.     The room was too tight for 8 of us. Reg brings real life examples to illustrate the concept and actively engages the attendees to share their experiences and work on cases and discussions

    Mr. Scotland is clearly an experienced project manager and had some great real-life  examples. However, I did find his approach to be a bit "old school" in its reliance on gender stereotypes and "nudge-nudge-wink-wink" sorts of anecdotes (i.e., gentlemen, if you have tried to negotiate with your wife you know you can't win). I didn't feel those sort of jokes/stories were appropriate for 2016 and in fact, I called him on it in class, and was thanked by another female student. If not for this I would have rated him at least very good if not excellent, but there was a level of discomfort based on this approach.

    The instructor did use some gender stereotyping which made some participants uneasy; I'd recommend that only substantiated differences be delivered and no informal gendered stories to prevent this in the future.
