Our group was encouraged with lots of positive and open discussion. Real-life work situations were presented where we developed and proposed solutions to help resolve issues. I loved how interactive it was. The time passed quickly and it certainly wasn't a snooze fest of boring slides to look at! It was a bit repetitive and I found that the individual topics were not clearly defined. Robin leads by example and was perfect instructor for this session.

But more importantly she knows how to deliver the message home, including personal anecdotes and stories that show her passion and engage her audience to understand at the core the message. Because there were a total of 4 students, I found personally that it was a better learning environment for myself as I prefer smaller class sizes to get to know everyone and when you have that closeness, it is easier to do some of the exercises Good correspondence in advance of scheduled training session. The structure of the course is excellent. The book and content were also excellent. For it to be effective, however, the class has to stay on topic at all times. There is no space for discussions off topic. Ideally no homework since we are already taking days off work to attend this course. Great facilitator, used great humour and personal experience to illustrate points. She was generous and professional with concise and constructive feedback. Participation in class could have a more proportional student/facilitator ratio, and use of book exercises to apply new knowledge in scenarios that might resemble work situations. A lot of the learning also comes from experimenting with the different communication styles in the course, and from hearing about their own challenges and responses.

I enjoyed how engaged we were as a group. There was a lot of value in the discussions (more so than role play scenarios) where we could identify other real world scenarios. CATHERINE was very engaging and had good facilitation skills with our group discussions. Only comment that I would like to identify is that the location was unclear in the instructions prior to the course and the information only came out days before.

Provided relevant "real world" examples when there appeared to be a need.I've been in a management role for some time and was looking for a course that would provide me with an opportunity to refresh and reset some of my style and approach to addressing certain management matters and issues. The course material did allow for this opportunity, and the in-class experience added to my learnings.

I really enjoyed this course, and feel I can immediately apply what I learned (also nice to see where I am doing things 'right'!). It might be interesting to discuss goals by members at the beginning, and then (even if one on one with instructor) at the end loop back and actually discuss how the goals can now be addressed to support the members view on how to best respond with this extra knowledge. I enjoyed and appreciated Franca's approach and style. I really enjoyed this, and made one suggestion earlier, I would have liked perhaps one on one time at the end reviewing my goal and how I now see how I should target it (i.e. the tracking tool, or just discussion). Overall I would recommend this to others.

Derek is great. My 2nd seminar with him. Very engaging and personable. I didn't like the fact that we had to switch rooms between day 1 and day 2. The snacks that were set out on the hallway were "stolen" from other groups that were meeting in the same space. In the future snacks/lunch should be set up the room that the workshop is taking place in.

Lew is a very good instructor, she kept me engaged and gave me plenty of information that I will be able to apply at work and everyday life. I would highly recommend this course. I wish it was longer as I think there was much more I could've learned from her. Lew was very engaging and very knowledgeable on the subject . She gave me plenty to think about and apply to my work as well as daily life. Overall a fantastic experience. I would strongly recommend it to anyone, whether they have problems communicating or not.

The course was very informative, I would have liked to go deeper into the emotional intelligence sections and being able to apply/evaluate those in the workplace. Overall the course has met expectations.
Franka was very knowledgable about the course and was able to provide personal examples of how to apply the concepts to everyday life.
Course was able to identify how cruical communication is in the workplace and how sometimes things we did not even realize could build barriers at work. Very educational and relative to all workplace environments

Facilitator (Derek) did a great job providing additional value and gave many ideas as to how I can apply my learning's' personally.

Small class and relevant opportunities to address specific situations were helpful and informative. Insights into looking through others' eyes helped give context to situations. Excellent. Relevant. Helpful!

Marilyn was great!!! She tried to tailor the message to our group's specific needs. I also feel that the course content was good as it gave a high level overview of a few different topics. Further study could include taking other CMC courses to do more of a 'deep dive' if need be.
