The course gave me insight into my own leadership and communication styles and exposed me to new ways to consider when listening to others. Colin was interested in ensuring that everyone had their needs met. He made us work hard and sometimes the energy level died in the classroom and he recognized this and took us through stretching and meditation exercises. It was great to share and listen to the experiences from classmates from different industries and be reminded that we all have similar challenges at work.

This was a great course, and the workbook will be a great take-home tool I will refer to often. As well as being a good presenter, he was able to read the class well. He was able to mix things up in group activities and politely get things moving when there are distractions in the room.It will definitely be useful to anyone approaching a leadership position.

I really enjoyed the smaller class and group exercises. The concepts were well structured and laid out. Day 2 was really heavy - maybe find a way to add a bit more day 1 or day 3. The built in time to write our goals and takeaways was great. Sherry was very personable and knowledgeable and a facilitated the conversations really well by asking exploratory questions and stimulating a lot of discussions. Her sharing of personal experiences was really helpful and she has a great sense of humour, keeping things light.This is a great course for leaders who are interested in learning practical and helpful strategies and tools to lead authentically, mindfully, and with empathy, build strong relationships, and create a positive and collaborative environment where people feel inspired and engaged.

I really enjoyed the size class, in the past I've attended courses with 10+ and I have found it makes a difference. The different types of media used to share this information was also great. Colin was incredible at coaching and leading this class. He is very knowledgeable, respectful, attentive, and great overall. He shared personal stories and experiences with us that helped understand the methods taught easier by making them real. I personally am someone who day dreams often and I found that Colin kept the class so engaged that at no point in those 3 days I found myself bored or drifting off. Great presentor, coach and person. Will highly recommend Colin to anyone looking for a coach. I would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to enroll to take this course as it will give you a new perspective in your work life and personal life. You learn a lot about yourself.

Nadine has extensive experience and is able to work that into facilitation. That said, there were a couple of instances when the number of examples were overwhelming. Her style is natural and inclusive and we had a lot of participant engagement in the course. This made the content more impactful for me than when no one participates.

The course was very model-heavy. I would have liked to see some videos, real life case studies or other examples of the application of the models. Room was not conducive to a 3-day session. the air flow wasn't the best unless the fan was on and then it was too noisy for the people at the back of the (small) room to hear the people at the front. Natural light would have been appreciated.

Classes were intense using every possible minute to cover the material - might consider moving to 4 day format. Colin was a superb instructor and coach. Showing how respectable people in different industries and walks of life apply Emotional Intelligence, by video, articles, etc. would be nice. Something to reinforce that this is not just some "textbook" material but real world content.
More videos from the "real world"... take the content and show that others (notable leaders, etc.) use it in reality.
