I've found with AMA courses (I've taken a few) is that the content is very "hyped up" at the beginning (you'll learn this, this, this and this and have these skills at the end), and during the course as we're learning the content. Also, for leadership courses you are really gaining tools, not necessarily skills. If it was marketed as "tools" that would make a lot more sense. The instructor was very nice (great at facilitating!) but not overly enthusiastic. Some of the course activities are useful, but we were given 10 or 15 minutes for some activities that only required 5 minutes, and some activities with partners we didn't have enough time to complete. Overall I gained some knowledge from this course.

I enjoyed the second day better than the first. The second day explored the type of leader/behavioral attributes I had based on Disc. It also allowed to better understand how other Disc types behave and process information. One thing I appreciated is that she followed up on the requests that we asked ie the room being cold and other points of interest expressed at the beginning of the class. Her teaching style was interactive that kept the 2 days go pretty fast. I highly recommend it. One suggestion on the distribution of materials, I felt that a lot of stuff from Day 2 can be moved to day 1. Day 2 had all the interesting stuff that new leaders are interested in ( in my opinion).

I feel the notebook was very light on information and details I think Dean can be a bit better at explaining her instructions, when she asks students to do a task. Maybe got a little to personnel sometimes with questions about spouses. More time is required for this course. The email asking to do the survey needs to be sent out earlier than 4 business days. 2 weeks would be more ideal.

As a newbie to a leadership role, I found this course to provide me with 2 key things:
1) confidence. I was able to see that my insecurities were internal and not perceived by my audience.
2) knowledge. Though, only scratching the surface. I was exposed to a wide array of tools and concepts that have "started the gears in motion" for my own further exploration and learning into leadership.
Overall, I think when I look back, I'll see that this course was instrumental in my career.

I would have preferred to engage in more scenarios for practical learning. I found taping our introductions to the course and feedback from them very valuable and insightful. Understanding that it is only a 2 day course, would have liked to get into the 'meat and potatoes' a little more. I felt like we only scratched the surface on some of the material. "Auntie Ann" was very engaging, approachable and professional. Thank you. Perhaps identify areas of the curriculum that the group would prefer to focus on at the beginning understanding that all modules need to be taught. Perhaps a little less time on DISC attributes? Became slightly repetitive.

I wish there was less focus on worksheet-type activities and more opportunity to develop and apply skills in a practical manner. More situational examples and suggestion to consider how leadership could apply to a participant's own workplace situation would help skills and concepts to be more easily absorbed for use after the course has been completed.

A three ring binder may have been more useful to include the course handouts that were provided. This would help students keep things more organized as a resource after the course was completed. The course was at a great level for me, it seemed to be one that could be tailored up or down the leadership chain depending on the classes needs. The small class size (4 people) allowed for some great discussions and personal examples to better walk through the ideas Perhaps some more leadership time management tools, otherwise from a people aspect it was very comprehensive

It was very engaging. There wasn't time to get bored or look at the watch to say "Is this over yet"? All the opposite, the time went so fast. The material was all what I needed and Ann made it so interactive and gave so many great esamples that you really didn't need to look to much at the guide, however is good to have it to consult at a later time. It was a wonderful learning experience. I do wish it had been longer just because I did enjoy it and thought if it was spread out to another day we could probably share even more experiences and questions. I would definitely take another course along the same theme.
Lisa was a wonderful facilitator and I learned quite a bit from her, as well as the team I was placed with. I think it has given me some excellent tools that already had but didn't know how to use. I found I was sad when it was over, I wish it had continued for another day. But it definitely made me look forward to coming back to the office today. Lisa was very kind and engaging. She was encouraging as well, which is so important. I felt very at ease with her sharing my experiences and answering her questions she put forth. She was very easy to absorb the information she was providing. I have already ordered some of the books she has recommended. She's great!

The course was very helpful to me because I gained confidence by giving me a more in-depth understanding about leadership.
We had a blast with Mr. Beaudry, never a dull moment. He was clear and direct with his examples and explanation. He took time too make sure everybody is on the same page. Excellent facilitator
Overall, the experience was great. It's a confidence booster. It feels great knowing that you have learned and understood a lot from the course. It's my 2nd time at CMC and hoping for more.

This course was an excellent window into Leadership. I appreciated the variety of exercises. The facilitator Ann did an exceptional job, she really connected with every participant. I found the content in the second day of the course the most interesting. The first day was a good introduction, however, it seemed to take a little to long to get to the 'meat' of the material.
Ann was personable, she connected with every participant and made everyone feel welcome. I appreciated her going out of her way to provide us with additional resources. I would definitely recommend a colleague to go to one of Ann's courses.
Overall it was an excellent experience. I think the class size could have been a little smaller, even 8- 10 people to be able to include more material or get through some of the introductory topics faster.

The course was excellent... the right amount of content at the right level, and delivered at a good pace. Loved the diversity of the learning activities and the fact that there was sufficient time for sharing knowledge and perspectives among the participants.
Lisa is a very skilled facilitator - she engaged the participants right from the start, set the tone for a supportive and respectful learning environment and as a result, there was lots of interactivity, good discussions and a-ha moments. (Facilitation of adult learners at its finest!), Lisa is very knowledgeable and shared many examples and stories from her wealth of experience to make the concepts real. I also appreciated how practical the course was - from role playing and action planning, to the tools and models we took away to apply back on the job.
Overall, a great learning experience. I felt that the course absolutely delivered on the objectives as described in the CMC materials. A big thanks to Lisa for her superb facilitation skills.

Bruce is fantastic - very diplomatic and really does his best to accommodate the needs and requests of the group.Taking time to discuss and reflect is very valuable. Sometimes what you think are your areas to work on are just fine and there are other areas to focus on and improve. The facilitator wasn't completely knowledgeable with the subject matter (specifically DiSC) and structure; at times appeared confused and disorganized. Her phone also rang a few times. She was a very good communicator and very enthusiastic and engaging.

The examples used by the facilitator based on experience and how that related to the topic was very helpful.
