1. Pay attention to your emotions: name them, notice them, then choose what you want to do with them.

2. Step back and consciously breathe: create a pause point.

3. Ask for the help that you need. This gives others permission to ask too.

4. Take time to be appreciative: what we pay attention to fuels us as we move forward.
