How to Claim PDUs for Your CMC Course

Many professionals with PMI certifications, including PMP® certification holders, choose Canadian Management Centre courses to support their ongoing professional development.

CMC courses may be eligible for Professional Development Units, or PDUs, where the course content aligns with PMI’s Talent Triangle and the requirements for the participant’s specific PMI certification. PDUs are reported directly by the certification holder through PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements System, or CCRS.

Before You Report Your PDUs

Review the course description, learning objectives, and instructional hours to determine how the course aligns with PMI's Talent Triangle:

  • Ways of Working
  • Power Skills
  • Business Acumen

PDUs should be claimed based on eligible instructional time. Breaks, lunch, and non-instructional time should not be included.

Steps to Report Your PDUs

  1. Log in to your PMI® account
  2. Go to myPMI Dashboard and select Report PDUs.
  3. Choose Education, then Course or Training.
  4. In the Provider field, enter Canadian Management Centre.
  5. In the Course field, enter the course title as shown on your Certificate of Completion.
  6. In the Description field, use the course description from the CMC website or detailed course outline.
  7. Enter your Start Date and Completion Date.
  8. Enter the number of PDUs you are claiming based on eligible instructional hours.
  9. Allocate the PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle categories that best reflect the course content.
  10. Select your claim through PMI's CCRS

Keep for Your Records

We recommend keeping the following documents in case PMI requests support for your PDU claim:

  • Your Certificate of Completion
  • The course description or course outline
  • The course dates
  • The number of eligible instructional hours

Important Note:

PMI certification holders are responsible for confirming that a course meets their certification maintenance requirements and for submitting PDU claims directly through PMI's CCRS.
