Path to Maintaining the Credential (Recertification)

To maintain your AMA Certified Professional in Management® credential, it is necessary to recertify every 3 years. During the 3-year recertification period, you must accumulate 60 Professional Management Units (PMUs) attained through additional education and activities that help advance the profession.

How to Prepare

Our Certification in Management preparation programs and resources are recommended tools to help candidates prepare for the Certification in Management exam. It is strongly encouraged to take an instructor-led course, self-study with the Management Body of Knowledge, or complete the practice exam to help prepare for the exam experience.

How to Apply

Once you have reviewed the eligibility requirements which are a combination of work experience and education, complete the application form and allow 10 days for processing. You may begin an application at any time and save it to complete and submit later. Once approved, your application remains valid for 1 year to register for the exam.
