Overall, the class topic and learning portal were great! I hate to leave negative feedback, but feel as I must for this session. Jaye, the instructor, really knew the topic well, however, I OFTEN felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and occasionally attacked due to things Jaye would say, especially bringing in the very divisive political climate we are in. I don't feel that there is any management learning course where it's ever helpful or necessary to bring politics into the discussion, even one specifically for women. As women, we are allowed our own beliefs and we should not feel unwelcome to something simply because of them. There was one particular situation where she was saying that we need to give respect to someone where it is due, for example, calling some "Doctor" versus using their first name, but within the very same class, she referred to the President as "Donald," and despite any political opinions, he is still the president and owed the same respect she mentioned only minutes earlier. She also repetitively referenced God, which did not offend me personally, but at the same time, it's a divisive situation I feel we must be cognizant of in this day and age.
