Jennifer is an incredible source of wisdom, and really tailored the course to what our group was looking for. Her experience was just as valuable as the materials that were provided for the course, and she always had practical ways of approaching problems and flipping the script. Life changing! Couldn't have asked for a better facilitator. The encouragement and constant support made a world of a difference. Jill's uniquely warm approach to developing us over the course of three days was remarkable. The course format is a seamless combination of theory and application. I had a breakthrough moment on the last day just when I thought I wouldn't be able to execute the teachings. Being able to apply all the teachings and techniques on the last presentation gave me the confidence to tackle any presentation type of situation. This has opened up another world of possibilities and I'll be integrating as much as I can into my daily life.

Course was great! It really helped to get some practice for my presentation. I really liked how Jill had us teach a certain part of the book (i.e. Q&A, managing the environment, etc) and present to the group. This helped build up my confidence for presenting as it was an easy topic, and didn't have the pressure of being my formal work presentation. Jill was really good! She used a variety of methods to help get the point across. She presented to us exactly how she was teaching us. My biggest takeaway is the conversational presentations. It's a great course. It teaches you how to present effectively, and then you're forced to actually present and practice. And practice and application is the most effective part!

The course was very well laid out. All topics were important to the student's goals. It did not feel like a traditional classroom which was appropriate for the topic. Jill is very inspiring as an instructor. I can't imagine a better facilitator for this topic. She is very encouraging to every student and inspired everyone to improve. It was evident in the student's presentations that there were improvements every time. It is not often that you will receive criticism on your presentation skills. This course is a comforting place to improve your presentation skills as you receive invaluable feedback from the wonderful instructor and other students that are in the same position as you.

I went into this course looking to improve on my interview skills and speaking with executives, but I walked out of this course with a more well-rounded arsenal of tools I can apply to all aspect when speaking to a small group or larger group. Jill was fantastic. While she referred to the manual that was provided, as a facilitator, it wasn't her relied upon material as she made aware that we were more than capable of reading on her own. So instead, she relied on her arsenal of experience which is great to see from a presenter. She is very engaging and provides positive insights to her students. Additionally, she provides uplifting comments that help build confidence in her students. I have already engaged other colleagues of my recommendation that they consider taking this course and have informed them the next time this course is being offered in Toronto is October 2019.

I love the structure of the course - that we were recorded for public speaking from a short, low-risk introduction, to a 5min presentation on something we know well on day 2, and a 10min presentation on day 3. Sheila fostered a supportive learning environment and I felt well supported by the other learners throughout our 3-day journey. It was great to have lots of practice time during this course, and to know that one-on-one support from Sheila is available as needed when we`re stuck in putting together our presentation. Sheila is an excellent facilitator and modelled many of the presentation skills from the course. Excellent customer service. It was nice getting both a phone call and email for important messages. I feel valued as a customer.

Coming in to this course with a partwllizing fear of speaking in public, my expectations were that I could be fixed and that this course would fix me. That as it turns out was a very short sighted thought. Instead Jill Hooper taught me that I could do it and practise it and learn this art of public speaking to be better and better until I am a master. It was and will be when I look back to it, a course and a person that will change my life. Thank you Jill and thank you CMC. I was wondering when I was rating the facilitator, whether you could, for Jill's sake make a category higher than excellent or strongly agree. If I were to rate Jill on a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate her 187. So you see excellent and strongly agree doesn't cut it. It's not high enough. Good job CMC

Sarah asks the right questions to lead to a good answer, and will result in good statements to be incorporated into presentations. She is very knowledgeable in a wide range of topics, and was able to provide meaningful feedback on all presentations. Even constructive criticism was delivered very well and received in a positive manner by all participants. She was awesome! The food provided during the course was not acceptable. I have experience in organizing meetings at Novotel, and the price difference between the food we received and a better option is not significant.

This was my third course with CMC. All of them have been a rewarding, informative experience. This course was fantastic. I got out of it exactly what I needed. I have already recommended it to others in my office. Bill was a great facilitator. He really understood how stressful presenting can be for people and he helped everyone to find a way to feel comfortable.

This is the best course I've taken at CMC and it's really because of Bill. He genuinely wanted us to learn how to become better presenters. He took time to work with each of us in the class one on one. He had a wealth of examples of what works and what doesn't and provided constructive feedback. Made everyone in the room feel comfortable and encouraged each one of us.I can't say enough about Bill. He possesses a wealth of experience in this arena and gave us constructive feedback as well as provided useful tools to be comfortable creating and presenting effective presentations. This course gave me confidence in my competence as a presenter. Bill was an exceptional facilitator and has a wealth of experience in this forum. I left feeling like I really learned skills I can immediately apply to my work. Best course I've taken so far at CMC.

2 things i was uncomfortable with, due to shyness and anxiety issues, is being put on the spot, ie, having to answer questions i am not prepared for. Also making funny noises to practice voice control, i figure can be practiced at home. I realize the spontaneous questions are to keep people engaged and paying attention, but it did stress me out.
It was an intensive 3 days and the instructor worked hard on keeping people on track, and on time. Felt like i was back in school actually lol

Jill did an excellent job running the course and giving great individual feedback. I could tell that the same content in the hands of a less skilled facilitator would not have had the same impact

The course was not didactic from a book and I really enjoyed the inter-activeness. Overall the structure and design was great.
Jill was phenomenal! Her lively upbeat personality kept us engaged throughout the course. Jill provided individual feedback which is very appreciated.

Jill engaged the class extremely well and gave me the confidence in my presentation skills. She has a great deal of knowledge and was able to provide real world examples and have us apply them directly to the material. Very interactive and it wasn't just walking us through the material! Very knowledgeable and able to relate to real world examples and put our needs first. Kept us on track and guided the program accordingly
Jill was an excellent facilitator in how she was able to single out individuals, me in particular, and give me great advice on how to improve my confidence to ease my nerves and gave me tips on what to do and what not to.

The course successfully "quantified" soft skills related to presenting, which is not easy. I came into the classroom with doubts about how much I could learn in those three days, and the fact is: so much. I learned to be more relaxed, more engaging, and more conversational during my presentations. And the observation of others' was incredibly useful too. Thank you!
Lunches were delicious. The settings are spacious and neat.
Jill was excellent! The methods she used, the ways she presented as a facilitator, and the efforts she put into the course are admirable. Before the course I did not believe in soft skill training, and I do now. I really appreciate Jill as the facilitator.

The course was excellent, we were suppose to receive an email to prepare a presentation for the course and we did not receive it. It would have been nice to spend less time in class preparing a presentation and more time doing presentation. The Facilitator was amazing. She knew her material and was able to provide lots of real life examples. Also the feedback she provided was excellent.

The course was well designed to focus on common problems on presentations, and practical tips to overcome the problems.
