It was very interactive and an eye opener. A total new perspective on how to treat people. I added new vocabularies like - platinum rule, which means "Treat others as they want to be treated". Emotional intelligence to name a few. I was first registered by my manager and I did not appreciate the idea because I am not in a managerial position, just a regular staff.

Ann did a great job with the delivery of this class and all the course material. She allowed for a safe comfortable space to debrief and chat about our individual concerns and never once allowed for a judgment atmosphere to occur. Ann is definitely a strong coach. She empowered me to let go of my ego and fear of not being taken seriously or seen as childish, if I am not always business oriented. I feel good leaving this class to coach those around me. I was really impressed on the course material and coverage of this course. The delivery of this material was done in a way that it was super relative and easy to participate in. Small intimate groups are fantastic for this kind of workshop. It really pushes you to think and self reflect on how you come off, even when you are hinting at all relevant information -things such as tone, body language, word choice -all hold impact when you want to truly coach/have a conversation.

This course gave me more than I was anticipating and offered practical tools that I can actually start implementing immediately. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but this was exactly what I was looking for. Jessica has excellent knowledge and is very well trained in coaching. Her style was inviting and she encouraged activity and questions. She kept everyone engaged for the 2 days of training. I found the customer service to be great, kept me informed with updates, items to prepare prior to training and quickly responded to a question I had.

Content was very good and practical. Having it spread over two days was helpful as there was more than enough content to fill both days. Also liked the opportunity to role-play and work in teams - much more effective than a one-way, didactic session. Rose was clearly very familiar with the content and I appreciated her ability to draw from her work experiences to demonstrate key points throughout the workshop. It was obvious she has a strong grasp of the subject and enjoys leading these workshops. Overall, the course was great and Rose was an engaging, knowledgeable facilitator. Always more effective when the facilitator has practical experience that they can draw upon, and share with the participants. Only two (small) suggestions for improvements/changes for future sessions... 1. At the conclusion of Day 1, participants were asked to include their name on the evaluation forms. We're all adults, but felt it wasn't appropriate to ask for that information as it may discourage honest feedback. 2. The role-playing was a useful way to apply the learning from the various elements of the day. However, for many of them on Day 2, there was not nearly enough time provided. (for example, one exercise provided participants THREE minutes to ask three different questions - with the respondents expected to provide answers as well. Not realistic at all). Would highly recommend that the second day of the workshop be revisited and adapted to remove some of the role-playing exercises to allow more time for those that the facilitator/organizer keeps in the session. Day 1 had a more realistic amount of content and group work built into the agenda.

I really like the idea of follow ups after the course, which makes it more like practical learning. On that note, I would recommend treating the in-class time more like a workshop, with more practical coaching experience and role playing; maybe stretching it to 3 days, but incorporating practice each day; letting the group witness and comment on interactions between pairs of people, pausing the action, correcting, continuing; noting problem areas for people to work on; maybe even start do an assessment of everyone's skill on day 1, then re-measure on day 3. There's certainly a great deal of conceptual learning to cover around coaching, but I feel like more experience and coaching on coaching during course time would help. I liked Colin and he did a great job. Our group was a little quiet, which I imagine was challenging for him, but he motored through just fine.

I did not enjoy the final exercise, handing a certificate and speaking in front of the group about someone that I did not work with throughout the course was really awkward. So courteous and polite that is felt forced/fake. I did not enjoy sitting in a circle with no desk. Making notes without a hard surface and having to leave the circle every time I wanted a drink were major distractions for me.

Colin was an excellent facilitator. He was great at reading the room and keeping everyone engaged and open to sharing their experience and insight. I'm just not a huge fan of role playing... But I also respect the value of the technique in the training environment.

It provides a systematic way of coaching. Colin was an excellent facilitator. He was able to get everyone involved and engaged in the training. I like the fact that there are two follow up conferences to check up on the progress of what we have learned.

This course would benefit from a 3rd day. It was excellent and if it kept moving forward it could have allowed for more role playing in groups of 2 and 3-4 and discussions of difficult situations. Colin was fantastic and he managed our group well. We all had lots to say and he kept the floor time fair for everyone. He also acknowledged his learning from the group, which was very humbling.

Thought the prework was very helpful in going in with a heads up on some of the content. Also the course size (5 People) worked very well keeping it close and manageable. Found the speaker to be engaging and the course content to be very useful. Colin was an excellent facilitator and was great at keeping our interest and answering any questions and also very animated in his delivery which made it fun. With over 30 years experience as a general manager in the building supply business, I found that I was able to participate more with my history and knowledge of managing and coaching over the years. Really enjoyed the course. Thank you.

Relevant for anyone in a management position. I have been in such a position for 5 years and wish I had taken this sooner. I will recommend my colleagues take courses led by Colin. Colin set everyone at ease very quickly, which was very important for the delivery method of the course. He was engaging and very knowledgeable.
That was a lot of information to pack into two days. It was exhausting! I understand the course was previously 3 days and I respect that there was obviously a reason for pulling it back to 2 days, but, for me, I think I would have preferred 3 days with a little less intensity! Still a fantastic course and I would highly recommend it.
I will recommend this course to my colleagues, but through our HR department.

Sherry facilitated the course very well. She added to the enjoyment and benefit I received. There was a member of the class that were not really at a level to participate and learn and he could have had a negative impact on others in the course. I'm not sure if there are "prerequisites" that can be requested before registration or not. She was personable; handled challenging situations well; highlighted personal experiences to reinforce concepts; made people feel welcome; and encouraged participation.
